Chicagoland favorite Jennifer Hudson stops by and signs autographs for the huge crowd at our Chicago premiere of her debut film, "Dreamgirls". Of course she went on to win the Golden Globe, SAG Award and the Oscar for her performance. We saw her first!

Film legend Jane Russell signs her own photo on our Blvd. She starred in dozens of classic movies with all the Hollywood greats, Bob Hope, Groucho Marx, Robert Mitchum and many more. Her two most famous movies, with Marilyn Monroe in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (she and Monroe jointly put there hand and foot prints in cement at Grauman's Chinese Theatre), and her first film,"The Outlaw" a groundbreaking (and rule breaking) film produced and directed by Howard Hughes. The controversies of "The Outlaw" were prominently portrayed in the Academy Award winning Hughes biopic "The Aviator".

Paul Reiser wrote and produced his film especially with Peter Falk in mind, because Falk was the only actor who made Reiser's own father laugh. Falk actually played a character based on Paul's own dad in the film!

Co-stars Paul Reiser and Peter Falk join us for an advance screening of their new film, "The Thing About My Folks". They greeted the audience and answered questions about the making of the film. IT WAS GREAT!

Screen legend Tony Curtis makes his way through our adoring crowd to the stage to discuss his long career and his classic films such as "The Defiant Ones", "The Great Race", "Spartacus", "Operation Petticoat", "The Boston Strangler", "Houdini" and his favorite "Some Like It Hot".

Straight from the Harry Potter films, the Weasley Twins, Oliver & James Phelps join us for our opening of "The Goblet of Fire". The guys were here for the entire opening weekend, met fans and signed autographs in the lobby.

Benny the Bull, Mascot of the Chicago Bulls, joins the Weasley Twins for the Chicago premier of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Benny was here fundraising for the CharitaBulls.

Our friend Michael Madsen stops by as part of our Tarantino Festival. You'll remember him best as "Mr. Blonde" in "Reservoir Dogs" and "Budd" from "Kill Bill" as well as over 80 other films including "Thelma & Louise", "The Natural", "Free Willy" and many more. "Are you going to bark all day little doggie, or are ya gonna bite?" Come see his costume from "Reservoir Dogs" on permanent display in our lobby.

Our friend and Michael's, Mr. David Carradine also stops by as part of our Tarantino Festival. He is "Bill" and he was killed, but he was alive and bringing down the house here in Chicagoland. Of course he was star of the long running television series "Kung Fu" and is the son of the classic stage and screen actor John Carradine. He returned to visit us several times where he became a huge fan of our theaters and we miss him very, very much.

Academy Award Winner Shirley Jones talks to our audience about her starring roles in the classic musicals, "Oklahoma!" and "The Music Man". Perhaps best known to the world as Mrs. Partridge from the hit seventies television show, she was recently nominated for an Emmy. One of our most gracious and stylish guests, she charmed the crowds.

Karen Allen joins us for our 30th Anniversary "Animal House" Reunion, although fans might remember Karen more for her second role opposite Harrison Ford in "Raiders of the Lost Ark", a role Karen was excited to reprise in "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Karen followed a life long dream of fashion design and founded karenallen-fiberarts.com that manufactures high end knitwear that's sold all over the country. Peter Riegert, who played her boyfriend "Boon" in the film joins her. You'll remember him shouting out "Otis Loves Us" and Karen said of him, "I think I'm in love with a retard". Peter has been seen more recently on "The Soprano's", "Law & Order"and opposite Glen Close on "Damages" and in other movies from "The Mask" to "Traffic"; even an Oscar nomination for Best Director for a Short Film adaptation of the O'Henry classic that he also wrote!

Former Playmate Martha Smith joins us for our "Animal House" reunion. You'll remember her as cheerleader "Babs" with some great classic lines like "You are a P-I-G pig" and "Greg honey, is it supposed to be this soft?"

Old enemies reunite as friends at our "Animal House" reunion! It's Mark "Neidermeyer" Metcalf and Stephen "Flounder" Furst! Stephen is producing and directing movies in Hollywood including "My Sister's Keeper" starring Cameron Diaz and Alec Baldwin. Mark still acts and had a recurring role on TV's "Seinfeld as 'The Maestro'. He also owns a great restaurant outside Milwaukee called" Libby Montana's" "Is that a pledge pin on your uniform?" Assume the position!

Otis Day still made the huge crowds “Shout” and sing along before each screening at Hollywood’s Animal House Reunion.

From “The Naked Gun” series and “Airplane!” the one and only Leslie Nielsen (just don’t call him Shirley) hosts screenings of his classic comedies at our theater.

Tippi Hedren joins us for our First Annual Alfred Hitchcock Festival. Tippi played the lead in both Hitchcock greats"The Birds" and"Marnie", and most recently in "I Heart Huckabees" opposite Dustin Hoffman. She greeted the crowd, introduced the films, and signed autographs all weekend long in our lobby. One of our most gracious guests ever! Maybe she'll bring her daughter, Melanie Griffith next time!

Veronica Cartwright, child star of Hitchcock's "The Birds" (and sister of Angela Cartwright) has been seen in dozens of film & television roles. Her character on "Leave It To Beaver" gave Beaver Cleaver his first on screen kiss, she was a late night gourmet snack in the original "Alien" and hilariously vomited cherries in "The Witches of Eastwick". She has more recently been seen in lots of episodic television including "Nine" and "Law & Order".

Hitchcock author Jeff Kraft holds his book "Footsteps in the Fog" which retraces all the scenes from such classics as "Vertigo", "Shadow of a Doubt", and "The Birds" as they now appear in and around San Francisco. Introducing films as part of our annual Hitchcock celebration with slides of Bodega Bay as it was and how it is now, complete with seagulls.

Alfred's daughter, Pat Hitchcock and his granddaughter Terre stand next to a portrait of the famous Director originally taken for the cover of Life Magazine upon the release of "The Birds". Pat actually had parts in many of her father's films including "Psycho" and told great stories about growing up in a household frequented by such guests as Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergmann and Princess Grace Kelly.

Karolyn Grimes stops by every holiday season to share her memories of the making of "It's a Wonderful Life" before we present the Christmas classic on our big screens. She played Jimmy Stewart's daughter "ZuZu" and uttered the timeless words "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings".

Mary Badham was the youngest actress to ever be nominated for an Academy Award for her portrayal of Scout, the daughter of Atticus Finchin the classic "To Kill a Mockingbird". Visiting our theater as part of our showing of that classic film, she poses in front of Gregory Peck's hand & foot prints with her actual Oscar nomination certificate. As a special treat she also brought her working copy of the original screenplay!

We had the young Boba Fett who was orphaned in Episode 2 and grew up to become a notorious intergalactic bounty hunter.

And we had the actor who played Boba as an adult, you will remember him for capturing Han Solo and delivering him to Jabba the Hutt to be incased in carbonite.

Daniel flew in from his native New Zealand and Jeremy came all the way from London just to be here at our theater for the Chicago premier of "Revenge of the Sith" while Amy stopped by on her way for Sar Wars events in Japan!

Famed British character actor Jeremy Bulloch was in four of the six episodes; not only portraying the adult Boba Fett, but also the Commander who hides Carrie Fisher from Darth Vader in the opening sequences of the very first Star Wars movie, and in the last installment he Commands yet another spaceship as Captain Colton. Jeremy even took a moment from his schedule here to bring Chicago a complete sports report in full Boba Fett costume on the WGN Morning News.

Ray Park who portrayed the notorius Darth Maul in Star Wars stops by the Blvd to greet fans at the opening of "Episode III", seen here converting a young child to his evil ways. The villian image stuck when he portrayed GI Joe's nemesis in the that film.

Ray shows his martial arts moves in our lobby with his famous Darth Maul double-edged light saber; below a soaring Millenium Falcon flying by for the occasion. Liam Neeson never had a chance. Ray also played "Toad" in X-Men so watch out, he also has a dangerous tongue!

The Bulls in Chicago are very tall! Chicago Bull forward and regular movie goer Antonio Davis shmoozes with Darth Maul at our opening night of "Revenge of the Sith".

New Zealand Actress Rena Owens, who portrayed Taun We in "Star Wars Episode II" and Senator Fianalo in ":Episode III" stops by our lobby to sign autographs during the Chicago Premier of "Revenge of the Sith".

The Star Wars fan clubs were out in force, guarding the entrance to our theaters during the final countdown to Episode three.

R2 D2 rolls through our lobby after being interviewed live on the WLS/ABC evening news, entertaining our guests just prior to the midnight opening of the last Star Wars movie.

She played Clark Gable & Vivien Leigh's daughter "Bonnie Blue Butler" in the all time classic film, winner of 10 Academy Awards. Cammie well remembers what it was like to be hugged, kissed and put to bed by one of the great sexy screen idols of all time although she painfully admits she was too young to fully appreciate it at the time. One of the Munchkins even came over from the Oz set and acted as her stunt double when she fell off the pony! She writes us back, "It was a grand week, you really rolled out the red carpet Hollywood style, I'm telling everyone I talk to about Hollywood Blvd Cinema"!

Cindy Morgan who played in many films like the sci-fi classic "Tron" and as the ultimate hot bikini babe and niece of Ted Knight in "Caddyshack" stops by for our celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield classic golf comedy.

Golden Globe Winner Russ "Riff" Tamblyn (left) and Oscar Winner George"Bernardo" Chakiris (right) join us for our very first screenings of "West Side Story" as part of our classic series. West Side Story won 10 Academy Awards that year and is one of the most highly acclaimed musicals ever. In case you didn't know it, Russ' daughter is actress Amber Tamblyn star of "The Grudge 2" and both "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" films.

Rita Moreno, one of the most acclaimed actress of all time joined us to host screenings of one of her first films, winner of 10 Academy Awards and one of the most acclaimed musicals of all time, “West Side Story”. Rita is one of the very few performers to win an Emmy, a Tony, a Grammy and an Oscar. She has also been honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom and of course a Star on the Walk of Fame.

Warren starred in many many movies, twice opposite Elvis Presley and also in "Cannonball Run" with Burt Reynolds, although he is probably most famous as "Kilroy" in the series of Disney Kilroy films. Hank was also in many films, winning the New York Film Critic's Award for his evil machine gun totting mailman on the hunt for Robert Redford in "Three Days of the Condor". He was also a co-star in televisions "Santa Barbara", "Car 54, Where Are You?" and the voice of both Fluffy and Fast Eddie in "Garfield".

Mr. Monday Night himself, WWE champion Rob Van Damme stops by our theater for a beer; and who could deny him a drink? (No, he doesn't have a headache, he's just plugging up the holes.)

The River DJ Scott Mackay stops by with his son for our annual big screen presentation of "The Wizard of Oz". His son had never seen a Munchkin before, (neither had Scott) who started an on air radio drive to help us get the Munchkins their Star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Gunner Hansen, known better to horror fans as "Leather Face" from the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" meets fans in the lobby over Halloween. Ooohhh very Scary!

Character actor Lee Arenberg stops by for our "Pirates of the Caribbean" event just prior to the release of the third installment, "At Worlds End". Lee plays Pintel the pirate partner of glass-eyed Ragetti. He founded an acting school, called " The Actors Gang" with college friend Tim Robbins, and ran with fellow high school "Brat Packers" Sean Penn, Emilio Estevez and Robert Downey Jr. Now he steals gold doubloons for a living in between roles.

Ron Chaney autographs a picture out on our Hollywood Boulevard of his famous grandfather, Lon Chaney Jr., the original Wolf Man. "Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, can become a wolf when the wolf bane blooms and the moon is full and bright." Ron's great grandfather was the immortal silent screen star Lon Chaney - "The Man of a Thousand Faces" who originated the roles of both "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and "The Phantom of the Opera"!

A real delight, Sara Karloff is the only daughter of film legend Boris Karloff, the classic actor who portrayed the original Frankenstein's Monster. It was not a silent picture but they did not let him speak in the first film where his billing was only a mysterious "?". Boris, through a great career, went on to become the voice of everyone's favorite holiday villain, "The Grinch" for which he won an Emmy.

Bela Lugosi Jr., autographs a picture of his immortal vampire father, the one, the only and the original Count Dracula who set an unsurpassed standard for any and all other blood suckers to come.

The big three of the classic Universal Horror pictures, (you can't get more horrible than that), with their famous offspring standing before them in smiles, shock and awe. Sara Karloff, Bela Lugosi Jr., and Ron Chaney are a great people to have lunch with (because its daylight).

Kellan Lutz joined us for the opening weekend of “Twilight New Moon” where he plays vampire Emmett Cullen. The former Abercrombie & Fitch model now sports Calvin Klein underwear between acting gigs. He caused loud screams and long lines from huge crowds for three days of picture taking and autograph signing.

Booboo Stewart & Tinsel Korey stop by Hollywood Palms to meet fans a few weeks before Twilight: Eclipse hit theatres

Hard to believe but "Boo Boo" Stewart is not a ghost! The martial arts expert and Wolfman is a star in the film series "Twilight". Here he is hosting our regular blood drives in our lobby where donors could meet, howl and get free tickets to "New Moon" all just for giving blood! Sounds fair to me.

Academy Award Winner & Screen Great Richard Dreyfuss joined us for the weekend, meeting and greeting thousands of fans and hosting screenings of just a few of his many great films, including "Jaws", "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", "What About Bob?" and "Down and Out in Beverly Hills."

Joining Gould at our theater (at least whenever he falls apart) is M*A*S*H co-star Sally Kellerman who played the original "Hot Lips" Houlihan in the movie.

Grammy Award Winner and all around fox Tia Carrere, seen here with pal Julie McCullough, joined us for an entire weekend of screenings of her comedy "Wayne's World" where she played the baba-licious "Cassandra", object of Wayne & Garths desire. For fans, you'll remember that Wayne's World was actually located right down the street from our theater in Aurora Illinois. Party on! Excellent!

Screen great and iconic entertainer Debbie Reynolds, one of the truly classic ladies of Hollywood, greets incoming fans to our screenings of her movies "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" and her very first film, "Singing in the Rain". A remarkable woman with a remarkable career, she entertained fans before we rolled film with stories of her life and career, even demonstrating dance steps and leading sold out crowds with renditions of some of her famous songs, including "Singing in the Rain", "Tammy" and my favorite from the film epic "How the West was Won", "At Home in the Meadow".

As part of our celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the great family classic "The Wizard of Oz", a huge hot air balloon rises in our parking lot for the cameras and the crowds. There may be no place like home, buts there is certainly not another place like our theaters!

Christopher Lloyd who played Dr. Emmett Brown in “Back to the Future” generated 1.21 Gigawatts worth of excitement in our lobby, signing autographs for fans and helping us raise $52,000 for the Michael J. Fox Foundation. You’ll also remember him as 3 time Emmy winner Reverend Jim Ignatowski in “Taxi” and also as Uncle Fester in the Addams Family movies.

Lea Thompson flashes a memorable smile to our huge audience for our 25th Anniversary reunion of “Back to the Future” cast members. She played Marty McFly’s mother Lorraine in all three episodes, also in “Red Dawn”, “Howard the Duck”, “Dennis the Menace” as well as opposite Tom Cruise in “All the Right Moves” and on and on. Her favorite line – “Well that is your name isn’t it? Calvin Klein? It’s written all over your underwear.”

James Tolkan barks out to our audience “McFly, you’re a slacker” and “No McFly ever amounted to anything in the history of Hill Valley!” while taking questions from our audience during our “Back to the Future” reunion screenings. He was Mr. Strickland, Principal of Hill Valley High School but you’ll also remember him as “Stinger” in “Top Gun” where he famously tells Tom Cruise “Your mind is writing checks your body can’t cash."

Everyone’s favorite devil child, Linda Blair, answers questions from the audience prior to screenings of the director’s cut of the horror classic “The Exorcist”. She is really much nicer (calmer) in person, so much so we named our green spinach and avocado pizza after her! Ummmm good! Tasted so good it actually made her head spin!

Traci Lords graced our theater, hosting screenings of her John Waters directed film “Cry-Baby” with co-star Johnny Depp. One of the nicest, sweetest and best looking guests we have ever had. She autographed her photograph on our wall with “I love Hollywood Blvd Cinema, and yes that is a gun in my pocket”. Look for her picture and you’ll see why we love her too!

Richard Chamberlain, also known as Dr. Kildare, star of the stage, big and small screens including the television history making “Shogun” and “The Thornbirds” signs autographs in our lobby while hosting screenings of “The Four Musketeers.”

Best Selling Author of “Marley and Me”, John Grogan stops by to sign books and chat about the real life Marley at a screening of the film.

Columnist and author Candace Bushnell created the hit HBO series “Sex & the City” starring Sarah Jessica Parker and her follow up series of books concern the high school years of Parker’s character “Carrie Bradshaw”. The first of “The Carrie Diaries” was published in April 2010 and Candace stopped by Hollywood during her book tour to greet crowds and introduce sneak previews of the film before its May opening.

Willie Garson plays Carrie Bradshaw’s best male friend “Stanford Blatch” in Sex & the City and made the line “fashion road kill” into a national catchphrase. In “Sex & the City 2” he gets married, with Liza Minnelli even singing at his wedding reception. Garson was here at Hollywood to host the entire opening weekend of screenings.
